OUR FAITH...
What We Believe....
Jesus reversed the curse by taking it upon himself through his sacrificial death, which was a response to humanity's original sin in the Garden of Eden. His resurrection from the dead then conquered death, making redemption and eternal life possible for those who believe in him. This reversal was a deliberate choice to obey God's will, which broke the power of death and sin and allows for God's blessing to spread.
The curse and its reversal.
• The original curse: In the biblical narrative, the curse is a consequence of humanity's disobedience to God, which brought sin and death into the world. This original curse led to separation from God, physical death, and the futility of creation.
• Jesus takes the curse: As the "last Adam," Jesus willingly became a curse to redeem humanity. He took on the consequences of humanity's sin and accepted a shameful death on the cross to fulfill God's plan.
• The resurrection conquers death:Just as God brought life out of darkness in the beginning, he reversed death by raising Jesus from the dead three days later. This act conquered death, which had been Satan's greatest weapon, and removed the curse's finality.
• A new covenant: Jesus' death and resurrection created a way for people to be reconciled with God. By his sacrifice, he paid the penalty for sin, making it possible to receive God's forgiveness and blessing through faith.
• A new hope: Through this reversal, the curse has been broken, and death no longer has the final say. For those who believe in him, the curse is reversed, offering them the promise of eternal life.
